Samuel’s first love will always be theatre. His credits have stretched from classical through to sharply contemporary work including Pip in Declan Donnellan’s Great Expectations at The Royal Shakespeare Company, Hamlet at The Old Vic, Taming of the Shrew and John The Bastard in King John at Bristol Old Vic. At The National Theatre; Henry IV parts 1 and 2, His Dark Materials parts 1 and 2 and The Kitchen. He recreated Padraic in Martin Macdonagh’s The Lieutenant of Inishmore. In 2012 Samuel made his Broadway debut in Cyrano de Bergerac.
